first place

All week the sororities were neck and neck with the Delta Gamma, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Phi and Sigma Kappa rotating through the top three. For the first time since I have been in school no one sorority dominated all the events. In the end the sorority that won never actually recieved first place in anything but one of the weight classes for sumo wrestling. This year Alpha Sigma Alpha and Kappa Alpha recieved first place for greek week. And as a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and a graduating senior I am beyond excited :).
On a more sad note, we could not wait to dominate Greek Games Day as we usually do but do to the heavy rain and other circumstances Greek Games Day was cancelled.

As much as I am going to miss looking fit summo wrestling was extremely entertaining to watch. What could be better than watching people in a huge fat suit, I cant think of anything.Either way because there was three seperate weight classes for girls and guys no particular chapter had any real advantage.

Greek Week- Whose with whose

For those of you that do not know Greek Week is coming up next week starting on Monday. And for those that are not affliated and dont know what greek week is, it is pretty much fraternities and sororities going head to head in volleyball, sumowrestling, a pagent type event, dodgeball, charity races, airband and much more. This is week is pretty much what every greek member looks forward and gives the winning chapters bragging rights for the rest fo the semester.
Each sorority pairs off with a different fraternity for the week. And this year after Sig Ep swooned Chi Omega and now that Alpha Tau Omega is no longer recognized by the university alot of the usual pairings got thrown off. So in case you were wondering heres who is with who
-Alpha Phi - Pi Kappa Alpha
-Phi Sigma Sigma - Sigma Alpha Mu
-Sigma Kappa - Kappa Alpha
-Chi Omega - Sigma Phi Epsilon
-Alpha Xi Delta - Sigma Chi
-Alpha Sigma Alpha - Theta Chi
-Kappa Alpha Theta - Kappa Sigma
-Alpha Episilon Phi - Sigma Alpha Epsilon
-Delta Gamma - Phi Sigma Kappa and Lamda Chi Alpha

When I know the times to all of the events for next week, they will get posted, until then good luck.

Followed by an active wear round which each girl strutted their stuff in their sport of choice which included football, tennis, horse back ridding and dance. The event conluded with a talent portion which featured such acts piano playing, dancing and singing.
The winner was chosen from the 6 girls who recieved the most ticket stubs which could be purchased all evening and given to which ever girl you wanted. In the end Alpha Phi recieved first, Kappa Alpha Theta recieved second and there was a two was a tie between Sigma Kappa and Alpha Sigma Alpha for third. All proceeds went towards Special Olympics.
